Trainee Counsellor

Life can be overwhelming for some people at times. My wish is to provide a safe and empathetic space to help you express yourself, explore issues, and find some warmth and stability to move forward.

My goal is to help people to engage in the process of creating new, healthier thought processes and patterns. I’m passionate about creativity in its many forms. I worked in creative fields for many years before transitioning into working for charities in the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) and substance misuse space, helping in groups and 1-to-1. This is paramount to improving society for all, particularly in neglected areas where help is most needed.

In this, I have found a great love for helping others and infusing positive energy into my work and way of being.

Currently, I am doing an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy at UEL (a BACP-accredited course), learning an integrative framework to become an adaptable practitioner who can help people from different walks of life in a way that fits them.

I found that my own experience with trauma, mental health, and subsequent recovery with the help of a skilled therapist has given me a greater understanding of healing and the importance of offering a non-judgmental space.
